| At the completion of the performance of "A Story in Three Parts", there will be three large paintings of dyed silk satin. These will be auctioned with the minimum bids starting at $50 per panel. The minimum bid is to cover the cost of the silk and dye. In the past, paintings like these, when sold as part of a fundraising auction, have been purchased for $1200 to $5000 each. Bidding for the panels can be done in person, via text message, or online in a modified silent auction. The auction will close one hour after the event. During that hour, there will be a reception with wine and snacks, where the audience can mingle, bid on the artwork, and talk to the artists. A portion of the auction will be held online. Find out more about the Online Auction HERE Before the winning bidder can take possession of the painting, the silk panel must be separated from the frame and steamed. This process takes about one day. After steaming, the dyes are permanent and the whole painting can be washed and ironed, ready for display or used for fashion. The final painting will be delivered to the winning individual.
